Lake Leschenaultia Camp Ground
LAKE CLOSURES IN BUSH FIRE SEASON
Public access to Lake Leschenaultia is assessed on a regular basis. As of the end of January 2023, the Shire is undertaking an independent review of closure days based on the current Fire Danger Rating System. Until this review is complete, the higher risk tolerance of nearby state parks will be adopted. When the state parks of John Forrest, Greenmount and Walyunga National Parks are open, the lake will also be open. Keep up to date with lake closures via the Lake Leschenaultia Facebook page.
FIREWOOD/FIRE PITS (WHEN FIRES PERMITTED):
Important note: The new Australian National Fire Danger Rating System means that No Camp Fires are allowed if the rating is HIGH or above. If you wish to have a campfire during the unrestricted burning period, you will need to bring your own firewood with you. No collection of firewood is permitted within the park grounds. Please comply with all fire restrictions in place at the time of your visit. Gas BBQ's and burners are allowed but they must only be used in a cleared area.
Please note:
No dogs are allowed in the park unless they are:
- Approved in writing by the Shire, or
- Registered Assistance Dogs (an authorisation card must be carried when entering the park). No pets of any other sort are permitted.
BASE RATES INCLUDE 2 PEOPLE, ANY ADDITIONAL GUESTS ATTRACT AN EXTRA CHARGE. Current site fees valid through to 30 June 2023. Fee changes may apply after this date. While we will endeavour to accommodate any special requests made on your booking (i.e. for a specific site, sites together), we are unable to provide any guarantees.
